The Village of Luxemburg will mark its 100th Anniversary in 2008. As this milestone approaches, the Luxemburg 100-Year Celebration Committee has done an excellent job organizing events during the summer and fall of 2008.
Luxemburg was named for the first settlers who came from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. In the past 100 years, Luxemburg has grown from a small settlement to the thriving village that has earned a strong reputation within our county and our state.
The Celebration Committee would like thank all who came to Luxemburg to participate in various events.

100 LAP HERITAGE STOCK CAR RACE AT THE KEWAUNEE COUNTY FAIR GROUNDS
FIREMAN'S CENTENNIAL PARK DEDICATION AT THE VILLAGE PARK: COMMUNITY BAND, LUXEMBURG HIGH SCHOOL CHORUS.
FAIRGROUNDS EVENTS: INFLATABLE RIDES, FOOD & BEVERAGE STANDS OPEN, ARTS CRAFTS, COMPUTER SLIDE SHOWS AND BUSINESS DISPLAYS, ANTIQUE DISPLAYS, ANTIQUE TRACTOR & CAR SHOW, SENIOR EVENTS & DEMONSTRATIONS, CHILDREN'S EVENTS, ARTS AND CRAFTS, PONY RIDES, AND PETTING ZOO. SPECIAL GAMES THAT WERE POPULAR 100 YEARS AGO FOR CHILDREN SUCH AS GRACIES, JACKS, HARMONICAS, HOOP AND ROLL, HURDY GURDIES, QUILL AND PARCHMENT, JACOB'S LADDER, AND EGG RACES.

GENEALOGY TOURS OF THE LUXEMBURG AREA DURING TWO CEMETERY WALKS AT ST. JOHN LUTHERAN CHURCH CEMETERY AND ST. MARY'S CATHOLIC CHURCH CEMETERY.
WAGON RIDES LEAVING FROM THE FAIR GROUNDS, GO THROUGH VILLAGE STOPPING AT BUSINESS SIGHTS. BUSINESS TOURS: SELF TOURED OR BY GUIDE NARRATED WAGON RIDE OF 56 SITES OF THE VILLAGE'S FIRST BUSINESSES. SIGNS WILL DESCRIBE SITES. CLICK HERE FOR A MAP. WAGON RIDES AND TOURS ARE FREE.
